My jewellery collection Blomesis is shaped by close study of geraniums. The name blends blom (Afrikaans for flower) with thesis, reflecting personal research. Each modular earring evolves from my botanical paintings, transforming organic forms into floral hybrids.
Botanical Heritage
The Geraniaceae family, found widely in both South Africa and England, grounds my practice in these two landscapes. I begin with detailed botanical studies in watercolour and silverpoint, capturing the angles and intricacies of each specimen, guiding the design of the organic pieces.
